SANI MU'AZU CONGRATULATE MALLAM MUHAMMAD MUHAMMAD

By Sani Muazu
I sincerely wish to congratulate Mallam Muhammad Muhammad as Commissioner nominee by my Governor, Barr Simon Lalong and I pray fervently for his success in office in whichever ministry he will be posted to.

I had earlier voiced my displeasure with the Governor over his choice but many had called or written to talk more about what they know about Mallam Muhammad Muhammad and his capacity to do the job based on experience. I appreciate all that and I must confess that I really don't know him before now, so I may be wrong.

One piece of knowledge that made me sober up is when I was told how our so called core politicians were accused of self centeredness to the point that the Governor almost failed in getting the support he easily should have gotten from the people during the last elections. And it's true because we all had to double up to shore up support for him against voter apathy. He may have taken his cue from that experience.

As for Mallam Muhammad Muhammad, I must say that I don't know much about him as a person and I have nothing personal against him. My concerns have been allayed by people, some of whom I truly respect, that he has the stuff to work under immense pressure and he is properly schooled with the intellectual depth to deliver. That is all we wished for and nothing more.

I wish Mallam Muhammad Muhammad well and success because he is now our touch bearer representing all of us in Government. I urge him to be just, transparent and fair in his dealings. He is now on the front burner and all eyes are on him. He should rely on Allah's guidance and the experiences of those that have vast experiences. His constituency is now the whole state and he is in a space where he must relate well with different people. I wish him well and success all the way.
